Ben, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, has created a new genre of music - live techno/jazz. Although clearly electronic in origin, Silicon Monk uniquely combines electronica, jazz, dance, rock, hip-hop and rap into a new-age style of its own. Silicon Monk just completed a year-long tour with the Montanta-based techno band, Signal Path. During that year, Silicon Monk's original techno/jazz compositions were played live with Signal Path's fine 5-piece ensemble, before over 100,000 fans across the United States, including a memorable performance before 16,000 screaming fans to open the 2005 Bonnaroo Festival. Now, Silicon Monk is about to tour the United States and foreign countries with a solo act featuring a combination of the tracks adored by American audiences in 2005 as well as all new compositions.
